Discover Amsterdam – Wander across the Zuidas, become surprised by New West, meet the many faces of North, explore East, take a walk on the NDSM-werf and see the Wallen in a new light!
Amsterdam's public realm has changed significantly over the past decades. Ambitious building projects, tourism and new businesses have changed the face of the city for good. But Amsterdam has a longstanding and exciting tradition of art in public spaces. Every neighbourhood has its own classics, sometimes loved by its neighbours, sometimes subject to heated discussions. These artworks are representations of a changing environment, inviting you to discover the many stories of Amsterdam and to look at society through a different lens. ‘Pay Attention Please!’ is an exhibition of existing and new (temporary) pieces and interventions in the public domain, brought to our attention by an inspiring public program with walking routes, lectures and performances.
Public Art Amsterdam is an initiative by CBK Zuidoost, De Appel, Framer Framed, GET LOST- art route, Frankendael Foundation, LAPS-Rietveld, Stichting NDSM-werf, Oude Kerk Amsterdam, P//////akt, Stedelijk Museum and TAAK.
