When Doubt Turns into Destiny | Navid Nuur

The Oude Kerk presents from 7 September 2024 to 9 February 2025/2125 a new large-scale context-specific exhibition by Navid Nuur. Nuur peels back the history of Amsterdam’s oldest building, emphasising the here-and-now through experiences about seeing, smelling, hearing, earth, air, and light. Notably, an important part of the exhibition will only conclude one hundred years from now.

7 Sep up to 9 Feb — Oude Kerk
Exhibition — Installation, Photography, Video | Film

Inner Landscapes | Nuri Bilge Ceylan

Eye Filmmuseum presents the first Dutch exhibition dedicated to celebrated Turkish filmmaker and photographer Nuri Bilge Ceylan. For the first time, his films are presented alongside his Turkey Cinemascope photo series (2003–2012). This unique combination underscores Ceylan’s remarkable photographic artistry and meticulous sense of mise-en-scène. Together, the works illuminate his profound exploration of universal themes, such as alienation, the quest for meaning, and the essence of life itself.

18 Jan up to 1 Jun — Eye Filmmuseum
Exhibition — Digital art, Painting, Sculpture, Textile

Digital Deluge

While Digital Art might conjure up associations with software, screens, or the internet, the exhibition DIGITAL DELUGE presents the surprising diversity and development of this art movement. Some artists in the show use their work to celebrate the infinite possibilities generated by digitalization, while others explore the very effects that these have had on society. The exhibition's title, borrowed from a work by Noor Nuyten, refers to the incessant flow of digital information that has changed our outlook on the world forever.

12 Sep up to 12 Jun — ABN AMRO Art Space
