The group exhibition of seven artists who were part of CBK Zuidoost’s BijlmAIR residency program in 2024. Six of them resided in Heesterveld, and one artist was in Ghana.
The artists were asked to create work inspired by the environment in which they found themselves. This resulted in extraordinary art: from photo-based paintings of maternity care in the Bijlmer to a video/ceramic installation about water.
The exhibition will be on view through Feb. 15 (Tue-Sat from 11-5) and will conclude on the last day with an extended guided tour and conversation with the artists.
The participating artists are Esraa Elfeky (Egypt), Halimatu Iddrisu (Ghana), Mirjam Linschooten (Netherlands), Stephen Tayo (Nigeria), Su Tomesen (Netherlands), Marieke Zwart (Netherlands), Razia Barsatie (Suriname/Netherlands).
