
On the occasion of the exhibition, a talk between the artist Elisa Strinna and the curator and researcher Sonia D’Alto will reciprocally disclose their researches on witchery and popular healers in Italy, delving in gender mythologies entangled with practice of care on the human body in relation with the non human.
Sonia D’Alto lives and works between Berlin and Italy as a curator, researcher and author. She is a doctoral student at the HFBK in Hamburg. She has collaborated with the Venice Biennale, the Museo Madre (Naples), the Fondazione Pini (Milan) documenta studies (Kassel) and Villa Arson (Nice). Her curatorial practice addresses feminist, magical-decolonial practices and subaltern histories. Her writings have appeared in NERO, Flash Art, Mousse, Critique d’Art. She is the editor of a book project on poetry published by Archive Books.
