During Amsterdam Art Week, the catalog Interlace with an overview of the work of Teresiña Talarico will be presented in the gallery on Sunday 4 June between 3 and 4 pm. The book is beautifully designed by Walter Nikkels and has been published by Buchhandlung Walther und Franz König in Cologne in 2021. Art critic Robert van Altena will try to shed light on the book and her work in conversation with the artist.

Teresiña Talarico, born in Santiago de Chile, is known for her poetic, minimal abstract paintings. Her oeuvre of more than 30 years is, simply put, about the dynamics of form and the power of color. Simple abstract forms in combination with the power of colors make the paintings strong carriers of emotion. Raised in Chile and Bolivia, she studied Philosophy and Art History in Cologne, followed by Fine Arts at the Staatliche Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Her career began in the 1990s with exhibitions in Europe and South America. She has been living and working in Dordrecht for several years now. During Amsterdam Art Week, a selection of her recent paintings can be seen at Slewe Gallery. It is her first show in the gallery in Amsterdam.
