For many, the Apollo House on the Apollolaan is an iconic building in Amsterdam. What many may not know is that the building also houses a beautiful art collection. A&O Shearman employees are inspired by the artworks on a daily basis and want to share this with the Amsterdam Art Week audience. Especially for Amsterdam Art Week, A&O Shearman will open its doors. The artworks from the collection are selected by the art committee not only for their beauty but also for their content. Themes that are important to A&O Shearman are reflected in the works. It is nice to see that themes that are relevant in the art world are often no different in the corporate world. Like the work of Melanie Bonajo and Katja Mater, artists who continue to celebrate and engage with the LGBT+ community.  Other names in the collection include Helen Verhoeven, Praneet Soi, Raquel van Haver, Dana Lixenberg, Andrea Büttner, Job Koelewijn, Navid Nuur, Carlos Amorales, Koos Buster, Fernando Sánchez Castillo and many many more.

On Saturday 1 June, you are welcome to get a peek behind doors that normally remain closed. Art advisors Marc-Jan van Laake & Margitte Verwoerdt show you around the inspiring collection, while you can enjoy the beautiful architecture of the Apollo House at the same time.
