Journey through cosmic history with ‘Creation’ (2012) and ‘Heaven’s Gate’ (2022) by Marco Brambilla at Nxt Museum. ‘Heaven’s Gate’ and ‘Creation’ are part of Marco Brambilla’s ‘Megaplex’ series. In these video works, hundreds of well-known film fragments are combined into new stories and landscapes. The digitally composed videos take you into a hyper-realistic world with clouds, meadows and burning cities. Brambilla immerses the viewer in an abundance of images, responding to the way we produce and consume images. His ‘Megaplex’ works show how our society is overwhelmed by a constant stream of media.
