Tracing the Lines delves into the influence of Surinamese Maroon cultural patterns and Gee’s Bend quilts on Jungerman’s work. The book illuminates how these traditions, carried across the Atlantic during the slave trade, continue to shape contemporary art. Several works discussed in the book will be displayed, offering a deeper insight into Jungerman’s creative process.
While the book launch and talk are fully booked, we invite you to join us from 3:00 PM for the public opening and explore the exhibition.
