    Every Friday, the weekly how-to workshop programme explores alternative modes of economic self-sufficiency within the arts field and beyond, in collaboration with various Amsterdam creators and experts. 

    €15 per workshop including lunch—max. 15 persons
    The workshops will be held in Dutch. 

    We will map different art practices, untangle ideas about time and money and outline alternative, sustainable(er) routes based on your skills, knowledge and (side) jobs. Gain more insight into each other’s practices and learn to trust your own journey.

    My Garden’s Boundaries Are the Horizon: Performative reading | Constanza Mendoza and Giles Bailey

    For this event, De Appel invited Constanza Mendoza and Giles Bailey, who have been following the process around the exhibition My Garden’s Boundaries Are the Horizon closely, for a performative reading and conversation on January 24, 18:00–19:30. They are going to read the publication My Garden’s Boundaries Are the Horizon: A Porous Reader to Unguard the Garden and transform their interpretation into a collective event where the book serves as a score to be performed.

    Big Fortune | Group Exhibition

    We exist in the wake of the entire world. In the exhibition entitled Big Fortune, the artists think against the hubris of individuality as a given, opting rather to be in community all the while thinking of what constitutes fortune. In an attempt to be in conversation in an intimate space like Woonhuis, the second year participants of De Ateliers bring together works and thoughts-in-progress. De festive opening is on December 6, 18:00 - 20:00.
