From 30 November, galerie dudokdegroot invites you to the solo exhibition SPECTER of Vincent Uilenbroek. The opening will take place on 30 November from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The exhibition runs until 19 January 2025.
Vincent Uilenbroek (NL 1980) has a remarkable passion for screen-printing techniques. He delves into the process of screen-printing itself, using the work process and its residue as his starting point. With technical expertise, he translates screen-printing into unique artworks. In his studio and screen-printing workshop in Haarlem, he experiments on paper, wooden panels, and with the screen-printing frame (mesh). Uilenbroek balances between Op Art and geometric abstraction, playing with the use of colour and the perception of space. In doing so, he transcends the reproductive nature inherent to screen-printing techniques. Through continuous experimentation with colour using screen and gradient printing, his works achieve an almost hypnotic allure.
