On Saturday, November 9th, Alicia Framis married the AI hologram Ailex at Depot Boijmans van Beuningen, wearing a wedding dress by Dutch couturier Jan Taminiau. For those who missed the ceremony, there is a chance to still congratulate the bride and admire her wedding dress.
On 15 November from 16.00 to 18.00, Upstream Gallery will open a special presentation in their private viewing space. In addition to the wedding dress, artworks by Alicia Framis and Ailex Sibouwlingen will be on display. In the lead-up to their wedding, the relationship between Alicia and Ailex has evolved into a collaborative artistic practice. Upstream Gallery will present the first results of this unique partnership.
Drinks at the opening will be generously provided by Oedipus.
The exhibition of The Hybrid Couple will be on view until 14 December.
