    The Sound of Fabrics is a group exhibition centered on textiles as a medium. The participating artists each reframe and revalue artisanal-traditional artistic techniques in their own way, using the materiality of textiles to shape personal, historical, or speculative narratives. Embroidery, weaving, knitting, and painting anchor words into textiles, creating a space where different stories can be read. These techniques, borrowed from folk culture traditions, enable a form of knowledge transfer that goes beyond the meaning of words themselves, activating their discursive potential.

    What does it mean to return—again and again—to a sound, a word, a gesture?To linger with repetition as both ritual and resistance? In Shifting | Spirit | Time, Julianknxx transforms the echo into matter itself. This new commission, unfolding as a multi-screen film installation at Buro Stedelijk’s Central Space, emerges from the artist's May 2024 performance with the Memoria Collective on the steps of the Stedelijk Museum. Here, repetition becomes material, a rhythmic pulse that opens up the body to deeper ways of knowing.

    Ghosts | Group exhibition

    Upstream Gallery is pleased to present the group exhibition Ghosts. This exhibition, curated by Anne de Jong, brings together artists who work with artificial intelligence or critically reflect on it. The rapid developments in AI are bringing major changes to society and creative processes. The artists in this exhibition explore both the potential and darker aspects of AI, with a focus on the human presence behind the technology. Its implications are approached through the metaphor of ghosts: invisible forces and disembodied entities that hover between presence and absence.
