Annet Gelink Gallery is delighted to welcome you to the opening of Way in the Middle of the Air, the second solo exhibition by Steffani Jemison, on Thursday, 28 November, from 6–8 PM.
Steffani Jemison is renowned for her multidisciplinary approach to language, storytelling, African-American cultural histories, and embodied forms of knowledge.
Her work is included in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art (New York); Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (New York); Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam); Whitney Museum of American Art (New York); Kadist (Paris); Brooklyn Museum of Art (New York); and Castello di Rivoli (Italy). Jemison recently held a solo exhibition at the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève and was awarded the Lafayette Anticipations production grant at Art Basel Paris 2024. Currently, her work is on view at The MET, New York (until 17 February 2025), and CAPC Bordeaux (until 4 May 2025).
