As an actress, human, woman, and mother of two young children, with a passion for history, philosophy, and art, Mariana quickly realised that Amsterdam was her home. The way people and their different lifestyles unite in this small big city is a source of inspiration and joy for her. As an actress, she is deeply connected to the world of film and theater, always finding something that grabs her attention.
In 2019, she joined the permanent acting ensemble of Het Nationale Theater in The Hague. Last September, she was awarded the Theo d’Or for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in “De Jaren” (directed by Eline Arbo).
Even though she has built her existence around the arts, she will always continue to seek what she doesn’t yet know. For Mariana, Amsterdam Art Week brings this together beautifully: being able to see and discover a lot of art in various ways, in the pleasant atmosphere of Amsterdam. She wishes this experience for everyone!
Mariana’s mission during Art Week is to purchase a piece of artwork and she will be open in her search through short reels. By daring to ask questions and engaging in conversations with various galleries in the city, she hopes to motivate other interested individuals and potential art buyers to overcome any barriers they may have.
