In collaboration with Looiersgracht 60, the Rietveld Academy is presenting 'Selected': an exhibition of their graduating students who have been nominated for GRA awards. Every year the Rietveld Academy organizes GRA Awards in order to celebrate students have created inquisitive, context aware and thought provoking work of a high standard. All participating students are nominated for the awards with the winning students being chosen by an independent jury consisting this year of Barabra Visser, Jeroen Boomgaard, Hans den Hartog Jager, Radna Rumping, Nico Feragnoli, Johan Gustavsson, Kirsten Algera and Lernert & Sander. This is done in order to support and encourage students in further developing their independent art practice.
Looiersgracht 60 and the Rietveld Academy’s shared commitment to redefining and transgressing boundaries come together for the first time this year in the presentation of the work of the winners and nominees of the GRA Awards. 'Selected' shows the work(s) of: Kristine Bech Sørensen (designLAB), Simon Becks (Fine Arts), Sasha Brice (VAV - Moving Image), Nicolas Chuard (designLAB), Nicolina Eklund (VAV - Moving Image), Inger Sif Heeschen (Fine Arts), Niels Hendriks (Inter-Architecture), Sae Honda (Jewellery), Marianna Ladreyt (Fashion), Medeina Musteikyte (Graphic Design) and Milena Naef (Glass)
