Framer Framed presents Shapeshifters: On Wounds, Wonders and Transformation, on view from 15 October 2025 until 11 January 2026. This group exhibition features works by al-yené, Antonio Jose Guzman & Iva Jankovic, Georges Senga, Kader Attia, kosisochukwu nnebe, Leah Zhang, Pei-Hsuan Wang, Sammy Baloji & Cécile Fromont, Mirelle van Tulder, and Anna Safiatou Touré. Together, they explore how colonialism has shaped the ways in which we perceive and interpret museums, archives, and other knowledge institutions, revealing the (im)material scars left by systemic violence.
Visitors are invited to re-examine their relationship to these institutions—through their own histories and knowledge—with care, curiosity, empathy, and a critical eye.
Commissioned by Framer Framed, three new works have been specially realised for this exhibition by Sammy Baloji, Pei-Hsuan Wang, and Georges Senga.
You are warmly invited to the opening on Wednesday 15 October, from 18:00 to 21:00.
