    New exhibition by artists Hee-Seung Choi and Emily Kocken is opening on November 23rd at Bradwolff Projects!

    Opening: Sunday, 23rd November | 16:00 – 19:00

    Resonance is a duo exhibition of Hee-Seung Choi and Emily Kocken, interdisciplinary artists who are also classically trained musicians. Featuring installations and drawings that stem from their observations and experiences of personal and social spaces, the exhibition explores the meaning of resonance as both an internal response and a quality in a sound. As part of the exhibition, each artist presents performances in which the voices of the singers merge with and activate the works presented.

    Each artist will also present a live performance on Sunday, November 23 at 17:00, where the voices of the singers intertwine with and activate the artworks on display.

    Anniversary Breakfast Amsterdam 750

    Celebrate the official anniversary of Amsterdam with a birthday breakfast in the Oude Kerk. As the city’s oldest building, it remains the last witness to Amsterdam’s earliest beginnings, when it was still a small settlement on the Amstel. In the run-up to this anniversary, the Oude Kerk is auctioning the very first vase by artist Navid Nuur. During the birthday breakfast, a film about his vase project (NN XXX) will premiere, alongside the presentation of a publication documenting the making process of the vases.

    Building as Destroying, Destroying as Building: Talk by Saba Innab

    Building as Destroying, Destroying as Building is constructed around two imaginaries: the imaginary of the museum as a “coloniser”, and the imaginary of the land as a source of incessant knowledge that resists its demise and appropriation. Using the vertical section of a typical Palestinian peasant house as a starting point, Innab’s talk reveals multiple layers and interpretations of know-how embedded in place, as well as the possibilities for anti-colonial resistance that this knowledge harbours.
