On Thursday 2 October, Kimsooja returns to Amsterdam for an exclusive artist talk with curator Fatoş Üstek at the Oude Kerk. In an in-depth conversation, she will discuss her work and the ideas behind her exhibition To Breathe – Mokum. Following the talk, the exhibition will be open to visitors until 22:00.
2 Oct — Oude Kerk
Morning concert in de Oude Kerk with sound artist Jasmine Guffond. Composer and sound artist Jasmine Guffond operates at the intersection of sound, technology and political structures. In this morning concert she performs work from Muzak for the Encouragement of Unproductivity (2025). Expect layered electronics, deep bass frequencies, and a tension between almost imperceptible details and moments of powerful intensity. At the heart of her practice is listening as a form of inquiry: through the sonification of data, Guffond renders audible the digital processes that normally remain hidden.
3 Oct — Oude Kerk
Enseoul is pleased to present What remains, a duo exhibition of new works by Bohyeon Hwang and Sanghyuk Kim. The exhibition will be opened during the festive Gallery Night on Friday 5 September from 17:00 to 20:00. This exhibition examines the beauty of incompleteness and asks whether wholeness, as we imagine it, exists at all.
