Stigter van Doesburg warmly invites you to the exhibition opening of Carts before horses on January 18, starting at 5 pm.
The groupshow Carts before horses showcases works inspired by the fourth bolgia of the eighth circle of hell described in the twentieth chapter of Dante’s Inferno. During this chapter, Dante encounters the sinners who earned their place in hell by seeking for the future through forbidden means. In this show, topics such as fortune-telling, speculating, and bad omens are addressed through a variety of media, such as a sound installation by Malou van der Veld, a new media visual by Félix Keslassy, and other differentiating media ranging from painting to photography and conceptual works by Andrei Nițu, Azul Ehrenberg and Frans van Hoek.
Curated by: Benjamin Carels and Jade van Doesburg
The show will be open until the 1st of March.
