We are proud to look back on another successful edition of Amsterdam Art Week. The overwhelming response from visitors, galleries, and institutions confirms what we already knew: Amsterdam’s art scene is thriving.

Now, we have an exciting update to share.

From 2026, Amsterdam Art Week moves to November. Our long-standing partner the Rijksakademie Open Studios is making the switch to November, and we are following suit — keeping our two events united and ensuring Amsterdam’s most anticipated art week remains as powerful as ever.

Amsterdam Art Week 2026 takes place from 18 to 22 November. We warmly invite galleries, project spaces, and museums to apply and be part of this new chapter.

Why Participate?
Joining Amsterdam Art Week means more than five days of programming. As a participant, you benefit from:
Visibility across Amsterdam Art’s promotional channels throughout the entire year
Reach through our press and media network
Connection with a wide audience of collectors, curators, and art lovers

How to Apply
Applications for AAW26 are open from 23 March to 28 April 2026.
Our invitation committee evaluates all submissions based on the artistic quality of your exhibition plan. A strong, well-developed proposal is the most important factor in the selection process.
For full details on the selection criteria and procedure, please consult the general terms and conditions for galleries, museums, and project spaces.
Apply now — deadline 28 April 2026

What Happens After You Apply?
Following the close of the application period, the invitation committee will review all submissions and notify you of their decision.
If selected, you will be a participant of Amsterdam Art for the full year.

Costs
Participation costs are the same for all organisations. However, a funding pool is available for non-profit and under-resourced institutions. Eligible organisations are welcome to apply for financial support. For full details, please consult the general terms and conditions.

Good to Know
Amsterdam Art promotes the work and exhibitions of artists through its participating institutions. We do not represent or promote individual artists directly. If you run an artist-run-space please feel free to reach out to discuss possibilities.
