From 18 until 22 November 2026, the city opens its doors for the fourteenth edition of Amsterdam Art Week: five days of contemporary art, straight through the entire city. Five days, one city Every day has its own character. The week opens on Wednesday 18 November with a unique moment: the Open Studios of the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten, the only moment of the year that the studios open to the public. Fifty international residents show new work to collectors, curators, press, and art professionals. A glimpse into the heart of the Amsterdam art world.
Thursday is Gallery Night. Throughout the whole city, galleries simultaneously open their doors for new exhibitions, an evening on which the city buzzes.
On Friday, project spaces, museums, and corporate collections take center stage. Precisely these places show how broad and varied the Amsterdam art scene is.
Saturday and Sunday, the program expands across the entire city: routes through different neighborhoods, programs for families with children, and numerous moments to discover the art in your own way. And the best part? Many of the programs are accessible for free.
