You are warmly invited to the festive opening of the group exhibition BEDROCK, organised by Young Collectors Circle and Amsterdam Art, in collaboration with the participating galleries. Let’s raise a glass together to mark the kick-off of Amsterdam Art Week and celebrate the arts!
At the foundation of every thriving ecosystem lies the bedrock – the solid ground upon which life thrives. Although this foundation seems unwavering, it is shaped over time by external influences such as erosion and pressure, which affect the layers above. In nature, bedrock provides stability, but also room for change: it is both a foundation and the driving force behind transformation.
Much like a biological ecosystem, the art world is a network of interconnected relationships, where artists, galleries, collectors, and institutions influence and strengthen each other. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Young Collectors Circle presents BEDROCK, an exhibition that explores the power of resistance and resilience—essential qualities in both nature and art.
