Jade is a Dutch actress who made her acting debut in 2008 in ‘Hoe overleef ik mezelf,’ based on the popular books by Francine Oomen. She is deeply passionate about art and finds the art scene in Amsterdam truly unique because it brings together young creatives from all over the world.
Art has always been a significant part of Jade’s life. She draws inspiration for her work from visual art and finds comfort in film, photography, books, music, illustrations, performance art, paintings, and theatre. She sees art in the same way believers see religion. Art not only inspires her but also gives her courage and energy.
Jade Olieberg is known for the feature films Anne+(2021), Drijfzand (2021) and Niemand in de Stad (2018). At the moment she is writing her first tv series herself. In her free time, she can be found in museums and galleries. Her goal is to make art not just for the elite, but for everyone.
Jade believes that taking time is a crucial aspect of experiencing art at its best. She advises not to rush, regardless of whether you have little or much time to spend. When asked about the relationship between hospitality and the art world, she brought up some insightful points: “For me, that means accessibility.” Everyone should feel welcome in a gallery, regardless of their knowledge of art or purchasing power. By sharing information about art, we can enrich their experience and create a more inclusive art world.
