Jade is a Dutch actress who made her acting debut in 2008 in ‘Hoe overleef ik mezelf,’ based on the popular books by Francine Oomen. She is deeply passionate about art and finds the art scene in Amsterdam truly unique because it brings together young creatives from all over the world. Jade has always wanted to be an art collector and now proudly displays artworks in her home. She was inspired by a former colleague, an opera director, who from the age of 30 bought himself a beautiful piece of art every year. In fact, Jade’s partner is also a collector and has various photographs exhibited in their home. Jade believes that taking time is a crucial aspect of experiencing art at its best. She advises not to rush, regardless of whether you have little or much time to spend. When asked about the relationship between hospitality and the art world, she brought up some insightful points: “For me, that means accessibility.” Everyone should feel welcome in a gallery, regardless of their knowledge of art or purchasing power.
