Museum Cobra focuses on the art and philosophy of the Cobra movement. While Cobra belongs to the canon of art history, the “spirit” of Cobra remains alive and well. The importance of an alternative culture, rooted in international solidarity and creativity, is more vital in today’s world than ever. Museum Cobra actively connects its collection and history to contemporary artists, modern art movements, and current affairs.
Mission & Vision Museum Cobra presents and manages its own collection, hosts national and international exhibitions of 20th-century and contemporary art, and offers a wide range of public activities for the education and enjoyment of the residents of Amstelveen, the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, visitors from across the Netherlands, and international guests.
