Founded in 2021, m.simons is a gallery space in the historic center of Amsterdam. The gallery focuses on painting and prints (dated after 1989). As artistic practice is becoming increasingly interdisciplinary, the gallery also offers space for various other media, such as photography and sculpture. Before founding m.simons, the gallery owner, Michiel Simons, held various positions in the Amsterdam art world. He led MISCHKIN, an independent print publishing company, was a gallery director at Willem Baars Projects and worked with museums such as Kunstmuseum, The Hague and Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam and international galleries such as Luhring Augustine, New York and Gallery Yamaguchi kunst-bau in Osaka.
