    We cordially invite you to the finissage weekend of our current exhibition Best of Graduates 2023, during the opening of the new gallery season on September 8, 9 and 10.

    On September 8, between 5.00 and 9.00 PM, we will celebrate our Best of Graduates 2023 exhibition. This weekend is the last chance to view a selection of work by 25 emerging artists recently graduated from Dutch art academies. We are happy to do all this while enjoying a small glass of Salmari. We are delighted that the well-known Finnish liqueur brand, which has become popular for its unique taste and striking appearance, is willing to provide our guests with something very special for this festive evening.

    On Saturday, September 9, we will be open from 12.00 to 6.00 PM. Between 2.00 and 4.00 PM the winners of the RM Photo Talent Award, the RM Residency Award and the RM Public Choice Award will be present for a speed date with the visitors. Here you can ask all your questions to these promising young artists. On Sunday, September 10, the last day of the exhibition, we will be open from 12.00 to 5.00 PM. We hope to welcome you at the gallery.

    Instructions for Placemaking: Amussu

    In Our People are Our Mountains (quoting from Amílcar Cabral’s words on the Guinea-Bissau's liberation movement), artists and collectives in Palestine and elsewhere who work on questions around land from different perspectives, collaborate with majelis (assembly) Jakarta by sending instructions remotely. Utilizing instructions, rather than physically transferring works or facilitating travel, stems from ethical, political, and environmental considerations. The act of sending instructions is also a way to point to the physical and symbolic distances, particularly emphasizing the profound difficulties associated with moving in and out of Palestine, especially during the ongoing genocide. This initiative, therefore, is an act of transmission and trust—artists will transmit their creative directives to counterparts in Jakarta, who will, in turn, realize, contribute to, perform, or enact the instructions in place.
