    Save the date! The grand opening of Farida Sedoc’s exhibition People’s Forum on 17 November. Starting 19:00 at W139, the night will feature a thrilling performance by Strangie, drinks and sounds by Farida.⁠

    Join us on this evening to kick off People’s Forum, which next to a new series of works by Sedoc, brings together a program offering alternative and accessible forms of artistic production and autonomy: an Art Market, a series of How-To Workshops, and Platform BK’s office-in-residence.⁠ People’s Forum will be on show at W139 from 18 November to 17 December.⁠

    The exhibition Foreign Land explores the complex subject of migration through the eyes of artists with personal migration histories. In a time of conflicts, wars, and a perceived loss of connection, Foreign Land seeks to foster empathy, openness, and solidarity. On Saturday, 18 January 2025, the gallery will have extended opening hours, with guided tours offered throughout the day by our enthusiastic hosts.

    Moderate tear, refurbished to be heard | Nadim Choufi & Johann Arens

    Josilda da Conceição is pleased to present ‘Moderate tear, refurbished to be heard’, a duo exhibition where recent works by Johann Arens and Nadim Choufi are brought together. Both artists share a commitment to a poetic rendition of everyday materials that reinserts autonomy and agency. They each find tenderness in found language  – ranging from furnishing and signages to lines of poetry – which they press, laminate, and rearrange to not only distill their meaning but also to remind us that redefining these artifacts, whether from public space or spoken language, is integral to our right to participate in shaping our neighborhoods, our collective ideologies, and the societal and spatial structures that underpin our ways of living.
