Amsterdam Art Week is the place to discover what Amsterdam has to offer in the field of contemporary art. The event is a collaboration between the most important institutions in Amsterdam’s contemporary art world. During Amsterdam Art Week, the capital turns into an international meeting place for art lovers, collectors, art professionals and promising and renowned artists. For five days, art professionals and art lovers will be introduced to the latest developments in contemporary art at the almost 50 participating galleries, project spaces, museums and residencies. During Amsterdam Art Week, the participants present a varied programme of exhibitions, openings, performances, screenings, lectures and artists’ talks. The 11th edition of Amsterdam Art Week will take place from 31 May until 4 June, 2023.
The programme
In the coming edition, Amsterdam Art is once again committed to connecting the various players in the Amsterdam art world. The organization does this in cooperation with almost 50 participants. This ensures substantive cross-pollination and strengthening of the Amsterdam ecosystem. During Amsterdam Art Week, you can discover the artistic talent of the future at various participants, before they are shown at biennials or in prominent art museums. Traditionally, Amsterdam Art Week coincides with the Rijksakademie’s Open Studios from 2-4 June and 8-11 June 2023, where 47 international, multidisciplinary artists open their studios to the public.
On 24 April 2023, the public programme and offerings of all participating galleries, residencies, museums and project spaces during Amsterdam Art Week can be found at amsterdamart.com
