Forty years ago ABN AMRO began building a collection of contemporary art — now among the major corporate collections in the Netherlands. The collection provides a broad view of postwar visual art in the Netherlands. Central to the collection are themes of mankind, the society in which we live, and the power of the imagination.
With the ABN AMRO Art Space their aim is to share the collection via alternating presentations, offering a platform to new developments in art and to artists by showing the work of young and rising talent. In the ABN AMRO Art Space you can also find the international highlights from the collection, with works by John Chamberlain, Marlene Dumas, Donald Judd, Willem de Kooning, Sol Lewitt and Roy Lichtenstein.
